The AAA national average for a gallon of regular gasoline fell 7 cents this week to $4.093, marking the first weekly decline since the U.S.-Iran conflict began in late February.

The decline reflects crude oil trading below $100 per barrel for more than a week, allowing wholesale gasoline prices to ease slightly and flow through to retail pumps on a typical 1-2 week lag.

California remains the most expensive state at $5.864. Oklahoma holds the cheapest title at $3.435. Texas sits at $3.743, Hawaii at $5.659, and the Northeast cluster of New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Delaware all below $4.

Despite this week's decline, prices remain 29% above year-ago levels. Diesel eased slightly to $5.614 nationally but remains elevated due to global distillate tightness.
